Mike Post. The name makes me shiver. I remember his name from years ago, but it was only with the t.v. show "Hunter" that the truly heinous magnitude of his badness came to light. Now, he is outdoing himself with the absolutely nausea inducing tripe that is inserted ubiquitously throughout every episode of Law and Order CI, seemingly mixed louder than everything else in the soundtrack, and consistently composed using the same hack piano and guitar and synth string sounds in every cue.
I think Mike Post should retire. He has made theme music for countless shows - he must have made untold millions on residuals alone. It is time for him to retire and give us all a break from his tepid muse.
